    The vineyard is located 80 miles northwest of Austin in the Texas Hill Country where the sandy loam soil, the warm, sunny days and the cool breezes off Lake Buchanan provide an excellent microclimate for growing premium wine grapes. The vineyard currently consists of 65 acres, with 31 acres planted at the beginning of 1996. The winery is a 20,000 square foot structure with a total wine storage capacity of 65,000 gallons. The winery's 1998 production was 32,000 cases. A visitors center has been open since July,1990.
