Hexadecimal Color Values

Within the web page, the three monitor colors, Red, Green, Blue, are mixed numerically to form a color to use on some element of the web page. The value of each of these three colors can vary from 0 (off) to 255 (saturate). To designate these colors, HTML uses hexadecimal values for the numbers 0 - 255. Each of two places in the two digit hex value can contain a number from 0-F, that is "0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F." A hex number in the second place represents 0-15, and a hex number in the first place represents the hex value times 15. The following chart shows some examples:
