Lists

Use a list to display text in a vertical line. Lists organize data into a group either in a sequence (1st, 2nd, 3rd ...) or unordered.

Unordered lists use "bullets" to anchor the beginning of a new item. Unordered lists are used when the data can be presented in no particular order, such as a shopping list, or rules.

Ordered lists use numbers or letters at the beginning of each item, and are used when the sequence is important. You might use an ordered lists to show the birth order of your siblings, or the steps necessary to assemble a bicycle.
