Roger Clemens strikes out 20 - First Ever

BOSTON MA (1986)  On this date in 1986, Roger Clemens made baseball history, being the first pitcher in major league history to strike out 20 batters in 9-innings. Since that time, two other pitchers, Kerry Wood and Randy Johnson have matched the 20-K mark.
   Roger Clemens attended college at The University of Texas, before joining the Boston Red Sox.
