NEW YORK CITY (1938)
On this date in 1938, TCU quarterback, and Dallas Woodrow Wilson High School graduate, Davey O'Brien won the Heisman Trophy. O'Brien led the TCU Horned Frogs to an undefeated season and a National Championship. After College, O'Brien played two years with the Philadelphia Eagles, before joining the FBI, and later entering the oil business.
