SAN ANTONIO (1973)   On this date in 1973, the Veterans Hospital in San Antonio was official dedicated as the Audie L Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital. Audie Murphy was the most decorated soldier of World War II, and went on to become a star of the big screen. Murphy died in May of 1971 at the age of 48.
