Pinkerton Detective Charlie Siringo born
MATAGORDA   (1855) Click Here to follow "Siringo" forward in Time  On this date in 1855, Author and Pinkerton Detective, Charlie Siringo was born in Matagorda County. His half dozen books were written from a cowboy who actually lived it all. From 1886-1907, Siringo was a member of the Pinkerton Detective Agency. More books followed. Dale Evans dies

She and husband, Roy, starred in afternoon's favorite television Western, "The Roy Rogers Show".
