Singer, Beyonce Knowles born in Houston
HOUSTON   (1981)    On this date in 1981, singer and actress Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born in Houston. She attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, before teaming up with several of her close friends, LaTavia Roberson and Kelly Rowland along with LeToya Luckett to form a group later named Destiny's Child. The group (later a trio), had many smash hits, In 2003, Beyonce released her first solo album "Dangerously In Love" which became an immediate hit.
