SAN ANTONIO   (1942) Click Here to follow "NASA" forward in Time  On this date in 1942, John E Blaha was born in San Antonio. Following his education at the Air Force Academy and Purdue, and several years in the Air Force, he joined the NASA Space Program.
   Between March 13, 1980, and January 22, 1997, Blaha served on four Space Shuttle Missions include STS-58, a 14 day flight, widely recognized as th emost successfuly and efficient Spacelab flight that NASA had flown.

Tex Avery dies
LOS ANGELES CA Click Here to follow "Tex Avery" back in Time(1980)   On this date in 1980, famed cartoonist Tex Avery died of lung cancer. At Warner Brothers, Tex is credited with creating Daffy Duck, and developing Bugs Bunny into a wacky character. Lyne Barret marries Angelina Thomas
