Cafe/Lounge Car. Dining Car.Named for a lady whose father owned a tavern in New Salem, Illinois. In 1932, Ann was nineteen, when she and none other than Abraham Lincon, boarding at her father's tavern. They planned to marry in 1836, but Ann tragically died of an epidemic, as Abe was finishing his law studies. 30 years later, this train, painted black, carried Lincoln's body from Washington to Springfield. Chicago and Alton Railroad later named it's Chicago-Springfield-St Louis trains, the Ann Rutledge and the Abraham Lincoln.
